Doyle at A Cool Change has a poem posted about a best friend, which of course is a dog. If you've ever had one as a best friend, this one will jerk a tear from you even if your heart is now a bit stony.
Mrs. Right and I lost our best friend Wisty some years ago. I put up a this web page with the intention of writing our thoughts about our dear little girl. Haven't done much yet because, frankly, the pain is still too real. Anyway, Doyle is able to better describe what I feel about best friends, which she also does in another post.

If you think 'Old Man' might help someone having to make the same kind of decision, feel free to give them a copy.
The only request I've ever made about it, is that the dedication to Lucky always remain a part of it.
Doyle, I'm so sorry for not responding to the post earlier. It makes me happy/sad to come here (maybe you know what I mean) so all too often I don't.
I intented to do much more with this blog, but I get too sad.
I promise to make sure the Lucky dedication will be part of any copy.
